Lol State former removed officials criticize government, call for rule of Law

South Sudan's Lol state former parliament speaker Garang Mawein Mawein said to voice News Agency this week that he left for Juba to follow up the unconstitutional removal of eleven elected MPs by state governor Rizik Hassan Zacharia plus an absence of state official constitution among others.

he still calls himself the house leader since his removal was not made through the law. he criticises govt of Lol State for quoting former Western Bahr el Ghazal and Northern Bahr el Ghazal states instead of having its own constitution.  

 Achak Thiep Thiep is among the ousted parliament members said Mawein did not escape Raja but has come to Juba for official and investigative processes on failures that emerge in the state system.

on his part, Joseph Deng Nguach, Lol state parliament speaker confirming that removal of Mawein has come after he spent a period of six months without attending the house sessions.


he denied that Governor Rizik was not involved in the legislature mandate and process to suspend and appointment of new lawmakers.


Deng said that the eleven ousted MPs are opposing the government of Lol state and are Gen. Malong Awan's Allies. the MPs according to Deng have rejected to recognize legitimate of state authority and called for a change backed by powerful former army chief Ge. Awan.
