SSPM/A elects general Abdel-Bagi Ayii as new movement chairman

 (WAR-AYEN 26FEB)   The high command of political and military of the South Sudan Patriotic Movement/Army known as (SSPM/A) in a three day national convention held in War-Ayen, between 23-25 Feb. 2019,  has come up with resolution of removing and appointing new carders for the armed movement. South Sudan Patriotic Movement/Army  political and military leaders   Gen. Abdel-Bagi Ayii Akol   was elected to replace Costello Garang Riiny the founder of the South Sudan Patriotic Movement/Army. General Agany Abdel Bagi, the son of Abdel- Bagi, was appointed as new deputy chairman and chief of the general of South Sudan Patriotic Army. Other elected movement senior staff were Malong Majok Yor, Secretary General for the movement, while Malong Thiik elected as new spokesman for the movement respectively. JBPDA reorganization takes place in Northern Bahr el Ghazal

(AWEIL, SOUTH SUDAN Feb.21)Joint Border Peace Development Agency (JBPDA) announced restructuring its organs especially, executive and administrative Bodies. Animal vaccination campaign targets over 120,000 cattle in Aweil state

Authorities at ministry of agriculture, forestry and animal resources in South Sudan’s Aweil state, announcing animal vaccination which started this week and will end in coming month. animal vaccination campaign in Aweil, South Sudan Speaking to Voice News Agency on Wednesday, Peter Jok Dut, director general for department of animal resources in the ministry, said the government and its partners are carrying out the vaccination campaign targeting over 120,000 cattle in the area. He confirmed the availability of the necessary vaccines against several animal diseases. Arab cattle are also be included in the campaign.

14 church believers arrested in Aweil state over land ownership

The arrest came after a certain man claimed the church land ownership; a move forced state government to order demolition of the church in Hai Jenina in Aweil. Security operatives were deployed to crack down the church but faced high resistance from local community around the church and the attempt failed. Aweil state governor Jal Malith Jal and his deputy Simon Ober visited the scene and begged the church to relocate to any new place and leave the land for the claimed owner. Malong and his members were arrested after he received an invitation from state deputy governor to visit him to discuss on the matter, unfortunately, he and other members were jailed without proper procedures.
