Speaking to Voice News Agency on Friday, John Akot, an Evangelist representing the group, said the union has chosen to conduct the workshop to empower the believers as well as local communities to embrace peace and justice.

“We have been training youth for reconciling and unite them to bring people of South Sudan together spirit of God,” comments John.

He stated that peace is an only way for current situation of the Republic of South Sudan. According to Akot, faith based entities have much role to play in uniting scattered and conflicting communities.

The union is expected to carry out similar activities in all neighborhoods of greater Northern Bahr el Ghazal region.
