Media Institute graduates several journalists in South Sudan

(JUBA28 No)S-everal journalists graduated yesterday at Media Development Institute in South Sudan, the 
Institute officials say. Irena Irene, the representative of the Institution expresses commitment 
of the organization to power quality journalism in the Republic of South Sudan.

 “AMDISS has been working to build MDI institutional capacity to provide long-term sustainable       training to both entry-level and working journalists, media managers. AMDISS is working to make MDI into an institutionally well managed and finally self-sustained independent media training institute in South Sudan. It is expected to register on its own and a learning institute independent from AMDISS,’’ she reveals.

The institute is funded by International partners such as: American based- Internews, Norwegian People’s Aid, UNESCO and others.   

Media practitioners in South Sudan face a lot problems some are threatened, harassed and some may face death point as they do their golden efforts to aware all communities on what is happening in the world around them.

Contracted tellers are preparing face masks at Aweil vocational training center, photo accredited(Voice News Agency) AWEIL.   Government of   South Sudan’s Northern Bahr el Ghazal   state in collaboration with UN agency for development, UNDP, have launched a “face mask” project that is intended to produce huge quantities which shall be used against the virus. SSPM/A elects general Abdel-Bagi Ayii as new movement chairman

 (WAR-AYEN 26FEB)   The high command of political and military of the South Sudan Patriotic Movement/Army known as (SSPM/A) in a three day national convention held in War-Ayen, between 23-25 Feb. 2019,  has come up with resolution of removing and appointing new carders for the armed movement. South Sudan Patriotic Movement/Army  political and military leaders   Gen. Abdel-Bagi Ayii Akol   was elected to replace Costello Garang Riiny the founder of the South Sudan Patriotic Movement/Army. General Agany Abdel Bagi, the son of Abdel- Bagi, was appointed as new deputy chairman and chief of the general of South Sudan Patriotic Army. Other elected movement senior staff were Malong Majok Yor, Secretary General for the movement, while Malong Thiik elected as new spokesman for the movement respectively. Peace day event celebrated in Northern Bahr el Ghazal, traditional bands ask to promote peace
