USAID donates solar panels at Aweil community center

Aweil civic engagement center that offers free internet and community development programs, has received about twenty-four pieces of solar panels from VISTAS, a USAID funded program in the Republic of South Sudan.

Speaking to Voice News Agency on Monday, Angelo Uguak Arun, regional manager for USAID, said the organization is committed to continue the support to help the affected communities in South Sudan.

Contracted tellers are preparing face masks at Aweil vocational training center, photo accredited(Voice News Agency) AWEIL.   Government of   South Sudan’s Northern Bahr el Ghazal   state in collaboration with UN agency for development, UNDP, have launched a “face mask” project that is intended to produce huge quantities which shall be used against the virus. More than 30 tellers are contracted to produce the quantities for a one month time frame, after the deadlines all will be distributed to common citizens who will not afford to buy the masks. Speaking to Voice News Agency on Wednesday, Emmett W. Watson, UNDP Field Coordinator in Aweil, said it is a role of the NGO to ensure that citizens are secure and treated. N. Bahr el Ghazal’s rule of law forum recommends promotion of human rights, justice

A monthly rule of law forum in South Sudan’s Northern Bahr el Ghazal has on Friday recommended promotion of human rights, justice system and respect of traffic guidelines and regulation for the safety of drivers and other people.  The Executive Director the Wider Aid and Development Agency (WADA-SS), Peter Diing Ngong, said that there are a lot of human rights violations in the state.
